Retired and student chaplains dues at $15.00.
All dues should be mailed to CHHSM at 700 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115.
Additional funding is both needed and welcomed from individuals, institutions and organizations.
We will be adding a page on our web site that will list our members' names and skills and interests. If you do not want your information published, please so note on your Dues Renewal Form or membership application.
We helped to pilot a role for designating chaplains at national meetings and events including Faith Works and General Synod.
CLARIFICATION ABOUT APC PEER REVIEW AND ECCLESIASTICAL ENDORSEMENT
As you may know the APC has started a peer review process. Anyone who has been board certified for 5 or more years will be required to do a peer review and have a letter of "Continued Endorsement" from your Committee on the Ministry. You will be notified when it is your year do to so. As you move through that process, please be aware of the following: Associations should expect you to fill in the Continued Ecclesiastical Endorsement Form for Professional Organizations. You can get that form by going to: http://www.ucc.org/ministers/professional-organizations-continued-ecclesiastical-endorsement-form-2.pdf. Print it out and complete all pages.
Be in touch with your Committee on the Ministry (some conferences have a different name for this committee - e.g. Committee on Ordination and Ministerial Standing) in your association/conference. Meet with them and let them know about what you are doing with your chaplaincy or counseling work. An instruction sheet and template letter for the Committee on the Ministry to send can be downloaded at: http://www.ucc.org/ministers/apc-template-for-letter-of-continued-endorsement-3.rtf. The instructions should be followed carefully and the letter sent to our Endorser, Richard Sparrow, and NOT to the APC.
